Editing on the timetable

Why InClass

Clash free:                  Lessons are scheduled only when no conflicts exist.

Transparent:               Printouts can be reviewed and verified by all teaching staff.

Fair:                             Comprehensive printouts help ensure equitable workloads and transparent timetable structures.

Easy to edit:               Timetables can be efficiently modified when changes are required during the academic year.

Daily Organisation:    Daily changes can be quickly integrated and clearly communicated to staff.

Different Versions:     Support different versions of a timetable using the same data. 5 days, 6 days, 7 days, 10 days, 11 days,

12 days, 13 days or 14 days may get time tabled.

Swapping:                  You can swap days or timeslots within the timetable. This can be used to accommodate part-time staff or to                                        swap days when public holidays fall heavily on certain timetable days, helping teachers complete academic                                        courses.

Editing During the School Year

Adjusting the timetable during the school year is essential. InClass makes it simple to make updates whenever needed, such as:

  • The formation of new classes due to increased student enrolment.

  • The consolidation or removal of classes following reduced enrolment.

  • Staff changes, such as a teacher leaving and a replacement needing to be timetabled.

  • Lessons can be rescheduled when teachers are unavailable during certain periods.

  • Day swaps to address disruptions caused by long weekends and public holidays, ensuring equitable lesson distribution and course completion.

Daily Organisation

InClass supports daily operational changes, such as teacher absences or unavailable rooms.

Daily organisation tasks can be handled by a designated staff member, often referred to as a daily organiser. This role uses a separate login and is restricted to managing daily changes only, without access to the core timetable structure.

All such changes can be carried out efficiently while viewing a copy of the timetable.
